Some actually appeared to function (in that the correct ID was displayed in Device Manager) but the camera looked like it was activated by default (LED on) and was de-activated as soon asĪ program tried to use the camera (LED off), resulting in a black screen.

I had previously tried several drivers supposedly for 64-bit Vista. This laptop has an integrated Bisoncam NB Pro, Hardware IDs "USB\VID_0402&PID_5602&REV_0100" and "USB\VID_0402&PID_5602".

I can verify that this driver does indeed work on my Alienware Area 51 M9750 (m9700i-R1 series), running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. Its taken directly form my support page at alienware so gaurenteed no spyware etc.

(THIS IS THE BISONCAM) NOTE 5602 that the microsoft update driver DOES NOT SUPPORT THIS DEVICE EVEN THOUGH WINDOWS UPDATE LIKES TO INSTALL IT AT 3AM and cause me grief because its to retarded to realize the driver doesnt work. maybe some devloper will take pitty on all of us and code a new driver lol anyways I have a ASUS A6J laptop running windows vista home premium upgrade.įollowing are specs for my laptop's chipset. Its silly that my driver will work on slackware and not windows vista.
I do hope microsoft actually reads these forums and corrects the driver they released in windows update.
isnt for microsoft its for linux and its the m560x bisoncam driver off source forge. sadly enough the only webcam driver i can find that works. anyways it causes msn to freeze and causes windows vista home Premium to crash. Im actually rather pissed that microsoft would release an update for the cam without testing it first. I am having the same problem with the windows update version of the bisoncam, NB Pro driver. Just create a EXAMPLENAME.reg with the text editor, with the following content: Thanks a lot and i'm sorry for my english ^^

I wanted to know how to change the registry ! When i execute "regedit", I find the file but i don't know how to add it ? regĭouble click the reg file to add the entries into the registry. If u'r unsure hw to add it to the registry, just copy and paste the code below in a text file and rename it as. Just install the drivers from the link given above and add the following to your windows registry. I finally got my bisoncam to work in Vista.
